Our Purpose

  • Point sinners to the Savior—the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Prepare saints for the work of the ministry through Bible Teaching
  • Provide fellowship and encouragement for the believers

Our Position

Grace Baptist Church is an Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church. These words all have important meanings. To clarify our position, we offer the following:

  • Independent: We are an unaffiliated church. We are independent of any denominational headquarters, conference, convention, synod or any other organizational body. We believe that a church is a body of believers with Jesus Christ as the head of the body. (Ephesians 5:23)
  • Fundamental: We hold to the truths of the Bible, the Word of God, as the basic fundamental doctrines for all faith and practice. God’s Word is true. Therefore we reject all forms of Modernism, Liberalism, Neo-Orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism and other attempts to compromise His Truth. (John 17:17; Romans 3:4)
  • Baptist: We unashamedly hold to the New Testament doctrines of the local church which have historically, collectively defined what is known as “Baptist”. Though other groups may hold to many of these same doctrines, any church which holds to all of those doctrines has been known as “Baptist”. (II Timothy 3:16)
  • Church: Jesus left His promise to build His Church. His instructions were clear that He would send the Holy Spirit to empower the church, the body of believers, called out of the world and gathered together in a covenant relationship to do His work. It is through the local church that His will is done—evangelizing, teaching, baptizing, perpetuating fellowship through the Lord’s Supper, and planting churches though missions. (I Timothy 3:15)
